Steffen obtained his PhD from Cambridge under the supervision of Prof.
Manton researching on Skyrmions. After a temporary lectureship at
Heriot-Watt and post-docs at Leeds and Kent, he is now a lecturer in
applied Mathematics at Kent. Steffen's research interests centre
around classical and quantum behaviour of topological solitons.

Dave worked as a temporary lecturer at Kent. In October 2014, he moved to Bristol to work as a Research Associate in the
Bristol SPOCK group. He is interested in the numerical simulation
of topological solitons, in particular Q-balls, baby Skyrmions, Skyrmions and Hopf solitons.

Mareike obtained her diploma in Theoretical Physics from the University of Karlsruhe in 2009. Her diploma research project was
carried out at the Institute for Theoretical Physics working under the supervision of Prof. Klinkhamer on SU(3) Sphaleron
solutions. In November 2009, she continued her research on topological solutions in classical field theories starting a PhD at
the University of Manchester under the supervision of Prof. Battye. Her PhD research focused on the study of classically
spinning and isospinning Skyrme-type soliton solutions. She joined the School of Mathematics at the University of Kent as a
Research Associate in September 2013. Currently she is working under the supervision of Dr. Krusch on the EPSRC project
entitled Skyrmion-Skyrmion scattering and nuclear
physics.

Abera is currently a PhD student of Dr Steffen Krusch at the University of Kent where he is researching in the area of
topological solitons, focusing on hyperbolic vortices and lumps.

Jenny is originally from Eythorne, near Dover. She completed her undergraduate studies in Mathematics at the University of
Kent in 2012. In 2013, she obtained a MSc in Mathematics and its Applications from the University of Kent for which she wrote
the dissertation 'Topological Solitons' and a short project entitled 'Zernike Polynomials and their Applications in Optics'.
She is currently a PhD student of Dr Steffen Krusch at the University of Kent where she is researching in the area of
topological solitons, so far focusing on vortices and baby Skyrmions.

William is from Grantham in Lincolnshire, and completed his undergraduate masters degree in Mathematics and Physics at Durham
University, with a dissertation looking at the properties of Skyrmions. He is currently a PhD student of Dr Steffen Krusch at
the University of Kent where he is researching the classical and quantum behaviour of Skyrmions.
