Operations - Database Management

The Development Office Operations team maintains and develops the University's alumni and external contacts database, Raiser's Edge NXT. The database holds approx 170,000 records, 160,000 of which are university alumni. Other records include:

• Honorary Graduates

• Senior and Honorary Senior members of colleges

• Former Staff

• VIPs

• important external contacts.

The Raiser's Edge is used to support alumni relations, fundraising activity, events management, careers service and University marketing. Academic departments can be set up with access to the database and are then supported in its use.

The maintenance of this database is crucial as it allows us to:

• work with academic departments to develop their relationship with our alumni

• work with the Development Office teams to improve event administration across the department and wider University

• improve the way we keep in touch with alumni all over the world.
