In The Dark: Climbing mountains

Walk & Talk with Michele Milli and Daniele Caratelli
Michele and Daniele, lifelong friends who founded the In The Dark project, celebrate a shared passion for the mountains and pushing their limits. Following an accident, Michele lost his sight, however as a team they continue to push boundaries and test their limits. Michele and Daniele will be sharing their story in a talk for students and staff, as well as hosting a blindfolded walk around the University slopes in the afternoon of their visit.

Michele Milli lost his sight in an accident in his early 20s, however this did not stop him testing his limits and pushing his boundaries. With the support from his lifelong childhood friend, Daniele Caratelli, the pair have been reaching summits across Italy and beyond, and have mastered their craft in new ways. They want to share their story with students and staff here at Kent, and remind us all that nothing is impossible. In the afternoon from 13:30-15:00, Michele and Daniele will be hosting a 'hike in the dark' across the University campus slopes.
