The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) into academia has provided new ways of developing your writing as well as your analytical and research skills. However, if you want to be a successful student, you cannot rely on AI to do all the hard work for you. Generative AI software such as ChatGPT can be very helpful, but there are potential pitfalls which you will need to learn to recognise in order to avoid possible accusations of plagiarism.
This session will offer:- general guidance on how AI may be used - for example, for learning, planning and researching as you undertake your studies and assignments;- common sense advice on how to avoid academic misuse of AI.
