This workshop will provide you with an overview of the reflective writing style. It also includes the practical activity of walking the labyrinth, so that you can reflect on certain aspects of you academic, professional and personal development.

Reflective writing is a skill that can help you to nurture a sense of progress and development, both personally and professionally. It is a literary technique which is required in many occupations, including social work, nursing and teaching. However, it involves a specific approach to writing, requiring focused and conscious application.This workshop invites you to walk the labyrinth, weather permitting, offering you a gentle and calming experience using The University of Kent’s unique meditative facility.The session opens with a brief, guided meditation. It then provides an overview of the reflective writing style and an introduction to the labyrinth as an amenity for active meditation.

The weather can be unpredictable at this time of year, so warm clothing is recommended, along with sunscreen.
