Your Kent IT Account

Students on Partner College programmes which are franchised by the University are eligible to have a Kent IT account. If you are unsure whether your programme is franchised, please contact your college for further information.

As a franchised student, the University will always use your University of Kent email address (e.g. abc123@kent.ac.uk) as the primary means of communication with you. Therefore, it is essential that you check your email regularly throughout your studies, or make arrangements to have your email forwarded to an email account which you regularly use.

When you activate your IT account you will be told what your username and your University of Kent email address will be. Make a note of these details. Once you have activated your IT account you can then check your Kent email.

To activate your IT account you will need to provide:

  • your Kent ID (given to you at the start of term)
  • your surname.
