When you start your course, you need to enrol with your college and the University of Kent in order to secure your place. We'll let you know when you can begin the enrolment process, so look out for your How to enrol email in your applicant portal in-tray. It's essential that you complete your enrolment as soon as possible.
Studying for University partner college qualifications? You have access to a range of services depending on their course. More details are available from your college.
If you experience any difficulty in finding or using our services, please contact your Partnership Development Officer who will be able to help you.
Students on Partner College programmes which are franchised by the University are eligible to have a Kent IT account. If you are unsure whether your programme is franchised, please contact your college for further information.
As a franchised student, the University will always use your University of Kent email address (e.g. abc123@kent.ac.uk) as the primary means of communication with you.
Therefore, it is essential that you check your email regularly throughout your studies, or make arrangements to have your email forwarded to an email account which you regularly use.
When you activate your IT account you will be told what your username and your University of Kent email address will be. Make a note of these details. Once you have activated your IT account you can then check your Kent email.
To activate your IT account you will need to provide:

Once you have completed your enrolment and emailed or sent your photograph to the University, your ID card will be posted to your home address. If you do not receive your card, please contact your Partnership Development Officer.
Please take care of your card as there may be a replacement charge if you lose it, unless proof can be provided that it was stolen.
