Bookings for the airport transfer service will open on Thursday 1 August and close at 23.59hrs BST on Monday 9 September 2024. You should ensure that you book and guarantee your seat before then. If you are not able to finalise your flight arrangements until after this date, and still wish to use the service, please contact AirportTransfers@kent.ac.uk for advice.

The price is £45 per person.

No, you should book your seat in advance of arrival to guarantee your place on the service.

Yes. You will need to provide your flight number, airport and country of departure and the scheduled time of arrival. Please do not estimate the time you think you will get to the Arrivals Hall. We need your scheduled landing time.

If you will have a flight connection, please only provide the flight details of the connection to the UK.

No, the airport transfer service only meet flights arriving at London Heathrow and London Gatwick.

Yes, it is still possible to book a place on the transfer service on Saturday 14 or Sunday 15 September. When booking, please use the ‘Already in the UK’ booking form. You can select to meet the service from either Heathrow or Gatwick airport and a specified collection time. Please note that the first coach is likely to depart at around 09.00hrs. The meeting point at Heathrow is in the Arrivals Hall at Terminal 3. For Gatwick, the meeting point will be in the Arrivals Hall at the South Terminal.

No, unfortunately we are only able to meet flights arriving before 5pm on either the Saturday or Sunday. If you arrive late on the Saturday, you can arrange to stay in a hotel at the airport and take the service on the Sunday. If you plan to do this, please ensure you book via the ‘Already in the UK’ booking form.

Yes, you can use the service and on arrival at either the Canterbury or Medway campus our on-campus meet and greet team will help you to arrange further transportation, if required, to your off campus accommodation.

Yes. When making the booking, you have the option to select the number of seats required. Please ensure the quantity purchased reflects the number of seats.

You must book and pay for the transfer service in advance. If you do not have a credit/debit card, please ask friends and family in the first instance if they can make the payment on your behalf. If you still have issues, please contact AirportTransfer@kent.ac.uk

There is limited room for luggage. Please consider airline luggage limits and any additional charges for excess luggage. You should also be prepared to carry your luggage from the Arrivals Hall to the coach at the airport and also to your accommodation on arrival at the Canterbury campus. Some on campus accommodation will involve a short walk from the drop off location.

There is no scheduled times for the transfer. The service will depart when each coach is at full capacity. Please be prepared that the transfer may not depart immediately after your arrival. We will endeavor to keep waiting time to a minimum but there may be a 1-2 hour wait, so please be patient.

As a guide, the journey time from Heathrow is about 2hrs and from Gatwick 1.5hrs. The exact journey time will depend on traffic and the time of day that you leave the airport.

There will be staff and student helpers to meet you off the transfer service on campus and help you to your accommodation receptions where applicable. Please ensure you know where you will be staying.
