At the Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies, you work with academic staff from across the University as well as specialists from Canterbury Cathedral Archives to turn your passion for this extraordinary period in history into expertise.

Our programmes

Undertake in-depth study across a range of disciplines including history, literary studies, art history, archaeology and the study of material culture. On our taught Master’s programme, it is possible to spend a term studying at Kent’s Paris School of Arts and Culture.

Our diverse range of research interests makes the Centre a stimulating place for research students. We offer an MA by research and also a PhD and provide a range of activities specifically for our students.
