Events and support for students staying on or near campus over the summer.
As well as relaxing in the sunshine, summer is a great time to meet new people, develop your skills and explore!
Summer at Kent is a series of events aimed at students who are staying on campus, whether that's for a few weeks or the whole summer. Find out what's on and support below.
Events are open to all Kent students (unless specified). Everyone is welcome.
There are also events and activities you can get involved in locally in Canterbury and Medway this summer.
This summer, the Annual Postgraduate Conference returns and will exhibit exceptional work carried out by our research community at the University of Kent.
Join us in Sibson and Kennedy on Wednesday 3 July to celebrate postgraduate research and our community at Kent.
The conference is an excellent opportunity for all postgraduate students to attend talks, take part in interactive workshops, learn from colleagues, a chance to view research posters – there are even GRC prizes to be won too!
Challenge yourself to meet some new people this summer.
Only registered Kent students can join Umii. Join over 1000 Kent students on the app and find your people.
Kent Union has a range of networks including groups for postgraduate, international, mature and part-time students.
On Wednesdays and Fridays between 10:00-14:00, you can volunteer at Kent Community Oasis Garden or just come along for a chat. Open to all.
All Active classes at Kent Sport are only £2 per session with a free Pay to Play membership, or totally free for Kent Sport Premium Plus and Plus members.
Study Plus courses are free to students registered on an existing Kent programme of study. Meet new people as you learn new skills.
