Student Success Excellence in Education

Excellence in Education

What is Excellence in Education?

These programs are designed to run alongside structural changes through Diversity Mark or reflective teaching.

Excellence in Education is a program designed to propel students who are achieving below a 2:1 into a 2:1 or above. The program targets students in our APP target cohorts who generally achieve between 50%-62% of their grade markings. The percentages depend on course grade boundaries and may differ from school to school.

Schools and local delivery student success staff then work with these students to give them additional skill workshops and opportunities to excel in university and help them acquire vital knowledge and skills to support students with a head start in the next academic term or year.

What are we doing?

Working with school and their support teams we work closely to ensure sessions and workshops are planned around the needs of students to give them a kick start into their academic year, equipping them with the confidence and knowledge they need to excel.

How can you get involved?

If you'd like to get involved with Excellence in Education and would like some support from the student success team. You can contact your local student success delivery team who will be able to guide and support you through the specifics of the programme.

How does this make a difference?

We measure the data from across the institution to evaluate the impact. in 2023-24, across the institution 25% of students who engaged achieved good degrees.
