The University of Kent has a rich and diverse representation of BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) students in undergraduate degree programmes, however increasing the representation of BAME students on postgraduate research courses is paramount for the university to achieve inclusive and equal progression for all students. The diversity of the student body also suggests an imperative need to address the under-representation of BAME academics and other staff employed by the University.
We understand that being the first person in your family to attend University can have unique challenges, but you should know you are not alone. Share your tips on how to get the best out of your University experience.
