Whether you're a students, staff member, alumni, or member of the public, you can use the facilities at Kent Sport.
We operate throughout the year, including term and vacation periods, with the exception of the Christmas holiday closure.
We have a wide range of sport and fitness facilities across the Sports Centre and The Pavilion on the University of Kent's Canterbury campus.
Located near the heart of the Canterbury campus, the Sports Centre services all users of the fitness suite, fitness and dance studio, sports halls and the Kent Sports Clinic. At the reception desk, you can sign up for a membership with Kent Sport.

Kent Sport has some of the highest-quality fitness equipment in the county, which is available to all members including students, staff, alumni and the public.
Our qualified fitness instructors are on hand to give advice and can provide health and fitness consultations as part of our appointment service. You can view the range of available appointment types on our website.

The fitness and dance studio has enhanced lighting and sound and can be split in two for more intimate classes. The studio is an ideal environment for group exercise and has the capacity for a wide range of classes including Boxercise, spinning and Zumba. You can view the full timetable here.
Main hall
Multi-use double hall measuring 37 metres x 35 metres, with a sprung Taraflex floor.

At the Sports Centre, we have a boxing and combat sports area above hall 2, featuring a boxing ring, bags and training equipment.
Located at the outdoor playing fields complex, opposite Parkwood accommodation, The Pavilion services all users of the artificial pitches, grass pitches, and the Cycle Hub.
3GX
The 3GX is a world-class pitch which enables back-to-back fixtures and training for rugby, football and American football.
3G
Members have access to a state-of-the-art 3G football pitch. This is a full-sized pitch capable of holding four 5-a-side games during tournaments.
Astro
The astroturf pitch is a full-size, sand-based pitch and can be used for football or hockey.
Grass pitches
There are a number of grass pitches available at The Pavilion which can support recreational/match rugby.
You can book each pitch for recreational sports. This can be booked through your online account, or for commercial bookings, please contact kentsportevents@kent.ac.uk.
There are two bay cricket nets outside the Pavilion, which are bookable for Kent Sport members (1h 30mins max. per booking). Please contact The Pavilion or Sports Centre to book.
Four high-quality indoor acrylic tennis and netball courts, easier facility access and provides an exceptional conference and events space for approximately 2000+ attendees.

Parking is available for staff and student permit holders at the Sports Centre and the Pavilion. Pay and display car parks are also available nearby.
