The meeting will take place at the University of Kent (Canterbury). The lectures will take place in Maths Lecture Theatre of the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science. Click here for an interactive map of the University of Kent. |

| Travel | ||||||
Useful information can be obtained here. Note
that Canterbury has two train stations, Canterbury East and Canterbury
West. The University can be reached by a pleasant half hour walk
from Canterbury West, however, it might be more convenient to
take
a taxi to the University. If the taxi driver doesn't know the entrance
to the School of Mathematics, then ask to stop at the bus stop
Darwin College. The School of Mathematics is right behind it.
If you are traveling by Eurostar from Belgium or France, please note that the closest station is Ashford International. There are regular trains between Ashford and Canterbury (West). The journey takes approximately 20 min. Note that Southeastern has recently changed its rules: your journey Ashford-Canterbury is no longer covered by your Eurostar ticket. So you will also need to buy a ticket Ashford-Canterbury. |

| Accommodation | ||||||
Accommodation will be on campus. The price for a single ensuite bedroom is around £30 per night. We have some limited funding available to help those who need help to cover their accommodation expenses. Please register before 18th July 2011 if you need accommodation. |

| Conference Dinner | ||||||
The conference dinner will take place on Thursday 1st September at Deeson's. The menu of the Conference Dinner is available here. We have limited funds available to subsidize accommodation for participants. Any remaining money will be used to subsidize Conference Dinner expenses. As a result, depending on the number attending, the cost of the dinner should be between £15 and £30 (payable in cash or by cheque at registration on Wednesday 31 August). You will get a receipt, of course! There will also be a pizza dinner at Pinocchio on Wednesday 31st August. The menu is available here. |

Every participant is kindly asked to register by sending an email to R.E.Paget at kent dot ac dot uk with subject Kent Algebra Days 2011. Please provide the following information in your email: Name: Institution: Arrival date: Departure date: Do you need accommodation on campus? Do you wish to join the dinner (probably in a pizzeria) on Wednesday 31st August? (Note that this will not be subsidized, but everybody's encouraged to attend.) Do you wish to join the Conference dinner (see details above) on Thursday 1st September? (Details to be announced.) If so, do you have special needs? Do you need financial support to cover your accommodation/living expenses? |
