We organise outreach events and collaborate with schools, colleges and others to help students from all backgrounds learn more about their options.
At the University of Kent, we believe that anyone who has the academic ability to study at university should have the opportunity to do so.
For over 15 years, we have been committed to widening access to higher education for all those who could benefit. We have delivered major innovation and success in this field alongside the University’s core objectives of excellence in teaching and research.
Every year, the University delivers outreach to thousands of students across Kent and Medway. Through our progressive curriculum and our programme of outreach events, we work with students and adults across Kent to give them a clear view of their future options.
We offer a range of talks, workshops and activities for students in years 7-11.
We deliver talks, workshops and activities for students in years 12 and 13.
Helping teachers to engage effectively with higher education.
We inspire adults in our local community to try new subjects and build confidence through learning.
I particularly enjoy knowing that we make a difference to students every time we work. Observing their developing confidence and excitement in their own potential is wonderful.
At Kent, we believe that talented students from a variety of backgrounds should have the opportunity to study here. That's why we have established one of the most generous financial support schemes in the UK.
In addition to the University's generous income related financial support package, a pool of scholarships is allocated to students attending partner schools and colleges, including members of UKAT, and students on the University of Kent’s Access to HE Programme or University Entrance Diploma. A scholarship is also available to former participants of our Succeed programme.
