- Dr Lucy Lowthian
Dr Lucy Lowthian is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Kent. Dr Lowthian is responsible for managing the Level 3 Fundraiser Apprenticeship. She completed her PhD in 2020 through the University of Plymouth which examined psychological well-being and the charitable bequest decision.
Dr Lowthian has worked in the charity sector for over fifteen years. She began her career in community fundraising working for charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support and the British Heart Foundation. Dr Lowthian decided to specialise in legacy giving ten years ago and most recently managed the legacy and in memory programmes at Sue Ryder and Samaritans. Dr Lowthian is a part-time Legacy and In Memory Consultant with Legacy Voice and is also a member of Rogare’s Legacy Knowledge Group.
