Established in 2022, the Institute of Health, Social Care and Wellbeing (iHSCW) aims to serve as a major regional catalyst for the highest-quality research, knowledge exchange and education in the fields of health, social care and wellbeing.
It builds on existing strengths across the University’s academic divisions, including the Centre for Health Services Studies (CHSS), the Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU), the Tizard Centre, the Centre for Health and Medical Humanities, and the developing research base in the Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS).
Working in close partnership with a range of external stakeholders, the Institute is committed to making a significant contribution to addressing health, social care and wellbeing challenges in the Kent and Medway region and beyond.
