AHRC Impact Acceleration Account

The Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) awarded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) provides an opportunity for researchers at Kent to positively impact the world by driving economic, environmental, cultural and social change locally, nationally and beyond.

The responsive and flexible package of funding is supporting the delivery of an ambitious and targeted programme, enabling a step-change in impact and knowledge exchange across our research portfolio.

If you are a member of Kent staff, you can find out more about our IAA strategy, upcoming funding rounds, and view the application form and eligibility criteria on our intranet.

Current opportunities

Impact Stimulator Fund

This scheme is designed to support and stimulate new areas of impact that can then be grown through the Accelerator Fund. The Stimulator Fund will support researchers in capturing immediate opportunities for: translating ideas to practice, external collaboration and co-design; and scoping, testing and evaluating new ideas and interventions.  Creative and novel approaches to impact are welcomed. This scheme will provide funds of up to £5,000.

Impact Accelerator Fund

This is aimed at ambitious projects with scalability where the impact has already been tested in a localised setting, or where impact has emerged from existing research projects. The majority of funding will be in a range of £5,000 to £15,000.  Funding will support researchers to carry out extended activity to accelerate the impact of their research.
