Dr Andrew Martin
Director of Recruitment and Admissions
Andrew works for both The School of Psychology and Kent Medway Medical School. He employs a translational neuroscience and experimental psychology approach to study social cognition and executive functioning. In his research to date, he has employed cognitive testing, functional and structural neuroimaging, genetic endophenotyping, interoceptive analyses, and non-invasive brain stimulation methods and has contributed research across a range of fields.
A strong focus of his clinical research is trying to understand cognition relevant to mental health with the goal of improving existing treatment options and providing novel treatments. He is also interested in how cognition changes across the healthy lifespan and in disorders of ageing.
