- Katie Goodbun
Lecturer in Social and Developmental Psychology
Katie's research interests lie in the field of developmental intergroup processes. Her research focuses on implicit group theories, stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination, and the development of ideologies such as social dominance orientation.
More specifically, her research considers the mechanisms which underpin prejudice and prejudice reduction - including intergroup contact, empathy, peer relations, self-efficacy, political and social ideologies, out-group trust and intergroup anxiety.
In addition, her applied work includes a collaboration with the Anne Frank Trust evaluating the impact of prejudice reduction interventions delivered in primary secondary schools around the U.K., and with local organisations exploring impact of creativity and the arts on young children and their families.
