Working Thesis Title

Investigating the Pathways of Men who Engage in Voyeurism.

Research interests

  • Understanding sexual offending from a social cognitive approach
  • Indirect measurement of sexual interest
  • The development of paraphilia
  • Risk assessment and treatment needs of sexual offenders

In her PhD, Victoria aims to explore the paraphilia and sexual offence, voyeurism. Using a bottom-up approach, the development of voyeurism and how this manifests as a sexual offence will be investigated. Further, an exploration into understanding the social and cognitive factors attributed with committing a voyeuristic offence will be undertaken. Following this, the development of appropriate direct and indirect measures of voyeurism will be created and validated.
