Samuel T. Hales has received the award for being the Highest Scoring Runner Up from the Division of Human and Social Sciences. While studying for a Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology, he has managed to earn 1295 Employability points. When Samuel found out about the news, he said that he was “walking with a spring in his step”.
The Employability Points Scheme rewards students who undertake co-curricular activities alongside work experiences. Students are acknowledged in their efforts to increase their employability by earning points. At the end of the year, these points can be traded for an exclusive internship, work placement, and training rewards with companies.
Samuel received his points by doing Study Plus courses, conference presentations, reviewing work, and several other activities. The Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce and BAE systems have sponsored the Highest Scoring Runner Up Student award, which is a £50 Amazon voucher.
