The charity with the most nominations will receive a donation from the School of Politics and International Relations.
If you haven’t done so already there is still time to complete your NSS survey and send your charity nomination to the HSS Student Experience Team via hssengage@kent.ac.uk. We have four fantastic charities already nominated including:
Catching Lives
- Catching Lives is an independent charity aimed at supporting the rough sleepers, homeless and vulnerably housed in Canterbury and East Kent; those who have, for many reasons, fallen through the gaps in society and feel they have nowhere else to turn.
“an amazing charity that supports rough sleepers in Canterbury and East Kent. It provides meals and aids in finding work or claiming benefits, amongst else.”
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
- The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. With your help, The Royal Marsden can support life-saving research, offer patients world-leading treatment and care, invest in state-of-the-art equipment, and fund modern patient environments.
The British Red Cross
- The British Red Cross has been helping millions of people in the UK and around the world get the support they need when crisis strikes.
British Heart Foundation
- Their vision is a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. They raise money to research cures and treatments so that they can beat heartbreak forever.
