A £3.8m University development at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham will provide exciting new facilities for Kent students, staff and the wider community.
This significant development will increase the University’s presence on the historic site and create new state-of-the-art learning and teaching spaces.
Developments at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham include:
- New home for Kent Business School at Medway
From September 2015, KBS will be based in the newly-refurbished Sail and Colour Loft which was originally built in 1723. - 316-seat lecture theatre
The Royal Dockyard Church has been converted into a flexible lecture theatre and performance space. - Café and performance space
From spring 2016, the Galvanising Shop will have a café with a take-away service and performance space.

‘This superb development at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham is excellent news for our Medway campus. It will provide our students and staff with an exciting range of new facilities. Kent Business School (Medway) will have a state-of-the-art teaching and learning environment in their new Sail and Colour Loft base, while the imaginative redevelopment of the Royal Dockyard Church will give all our Medway-based schools a large flexible lecture theatre and performance space.’
