Excellence at Kent has been recognised in an annual national higher education awards competition.
The Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards 2015 has shortlisted both Kent’s campaign to raise money for new facilities at its Kent Law School and the administrative team at its School of Arts.
The Kent Law Campaign, which has so far raised £3.4m out of a targeted £5m, is shortlisted in the Outstanding Development/Alumni Relations Team category. The campaign has involved law alumni, current students and friends of the University in a range of law student-alumni initiatives. It has also engaged individuals and organisations in the local community.
Also recognised is the administrative team at the University’s School of Arts, which has been shortlisted in the Outstanding Departmental Administration Team category. The School of Arts administrative team responded to the need for high-quality professionalism with a dual approach: increasing support for academic colleagues while also keeping an enhanced student experience at the heart of all initiatives.
The results of the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards will be announced on 18 June.
