The Kent and Medway Business Summit will return to the University’s Canterbury campus in 2025 on Tuesday 13 May 2025.
An opportunity for those at the heart of business in the region to share information and learn about key projects from across the county, the event will showcase the knowledge and skills across our University community and bring different groups together to drive meaningful and lasting change.
With the new Labour Government in place the Summit will lean into one of central Government’s key agendas and bring together businesses, policymakers and leading academics to discuss how to boost business in Kent, with a focus on what opportunities and challenges devolution could bring.
Attendees will hear from keynote speakers and get the chance to ask questions and discuss the topics that matter in a range of panel events that will look at how we can unlock Kent’s growth potential, solve the skills shortage and harness increased local control to drive regional success.
The day will finish with the chance to network over a buffet lunch of Kent produce and learn more about our sponsors and the opportunities to work with the University.
We want to hear from local business movers and shakers to shape the event so we’re asking those looking to attend what themes they’d like to focus on that will help us tackle the challenges that really matter to Kent businesses.
What are the key challenges and opportunities for growth? Does Kent, a region boasting a large number of SME’s, need more support for entrepreneurs and small business? Is business embracing the benefits of new technology such as AI, and what are the concerns about the impact it will have on the workforce? What can be done to boost business sustainably? If there’s a topic you want to see tackled, please get in touch with the team.
If you’re interested in becoming a sponsor and want to learn more about our sponsorship packages, please get in touch with our events team.
