Scholarship value
These scholarships include a doctoral stipend equivalent to the Research Councils UK National Minimum Doctoral Stipend, £16,062 2022/23 rate for 4 years, tuition fees at the home rate and access to further research support funding.

Criteria
Open only to Home students. To be classed as a Home student, candidates must meet the RCUK residency criteria, see appendix B.
UK residential conditions:
- Be a UK National (meeting UKRI residency requirements), or
- Have settled status, or
- Have pre-settled status (meeting residency requirement) or
- Have indefinite leave to remain or enter
- Successful candidates will demonstrate academic excellence and outstanding research potential.
- Applicants should have a first or upper second-class honours degree in a relevant subject, and have or are about to obtain a Master’s degree or equivalent.
