Provides access to the manuscripts and papers created and collected by the Mass Observation organisation to study the everyday lives of ordinary people in Britain. The archive offers insight into the end of the hungry 30s, the onset of the war, the Blitz & war on the home front as well as the post war world with the rise of consumerism and television. Through interviews, overheard conversations, survey responses and personal diaries it offers a glimpse into British life during this period.
