The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives a general right of public access to all types of ‘recorded’ information held by a public authority, subject to certain classes of exempt information. The University is obliged to produce, adopt and maintain a publication scheme that sets out: the classes/type of information published, the form in which the information is published and details of any charges to be made for retrieval of information.
