Dr Andreas Kotsakis

About

PhD (London School of Economics), PGCHE (Oxford Brookes University), LLM (University of Nottingham), Law Degree (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki).

Dr Kotsakis studies the ways institutions, organisations, societies, and groups discover, frame, and respond to environmental challenges. He has published on issues related to global biodiversity governance, energy regulation and sustainable development. His research is interdisciplinary, combining philosophical, geographical, and historical perspectives and methods. 

Teaching

Dr Kotsakis is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He teaches modules in international law, environmental law, and energy law at undergraduate and postgraduate level.     

Supervision

Dr Kotsakis is happy to supervise interdisciplinary projects in his areas of research interest.

Professional

Prior to his doctorate, he interned as a policy analyst in international development and agricultural policy at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
