Allison teaches on the Criminal Justice modules, these include: Criminal Law, Evidence and Policing.
Allison came to the University of Kent in 2014. Her doctorate, completed in 2019, analyses the relationship between privacy and information communications technologies when those technologies are utilised for law enforcement aims. Her current research focuses on data protection and data sharing arrangements between law enforcement bodies.
Allison’s research interests lie at the intersection of information technology law and criminal law, with a focus on privacy and data protection rights.
Allison's main teaching responsibilities focus on teaching undergraduates and Postgraduates about Criminal and Advanced Criminal Law and Policing.
