- Dr Conrad Coelho
At the Kent Business School, Dr Conrad Coelho serves as a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Digital Marketing and the Director of Studies for the MSc Marketing programme.
Conrad holds a PhD in the domain of Digital Marketing and his research straddles marketing pedagogies, adoption of new digital technologies, and contemporary issues in the online world.
As a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE) from the Chartered Association of Business Schools UK, a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), and with the Senior Fellowship of Advance HE (SFHEA), Conrad combines academic expertise with real-world insights.
An active Academic Citizen, Conrad contributes to Academic Quality Assurance as an External Examiner for the University of West London and the University of West England. He has also provided academic due diligence as an External Academic Panel Member for Digital Marketing and Business Management course validations at Brunel University London, BPP University, Edge Hill University, Ravensbourne University London, University of Wales TSD, and Queen Margaret University Edinburgh.
Conrad is committed to supporting local businesses and is involved in delivering the UK Government's Help to Grow management course for small business owners. He also serves as a Digital Marketing mentor for the UKRI-funded 'Growing Kent and Medway' project.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Conrad holds a Professional Latin and Ballroom Dance teaching qualification from the ISTD (UK). His research supporting 'Performing Arts Institutions in Adopting Online Dance Pedagogy during the Pandemic' has been published in Dance Education in Practice, Research in Dance Education, and the ISTD (UK) magazine Dance!
Currently exploring new advancements such as the anthropomorphism of digital assistants (chatbots), Cookie-less Online Marketing, the Metaverse and Spatial Computing.
Conrad teaches on the MSc Digital Marketing and Analytics, MSc Marketing, and the BSc (Hons) Marketing courses. His current teaching focus includes key areas of digital marketing such as Social Media Branding, Digital Marketing Communication, and Web Analytics.
Previously, Conrad has taught across the business curriculum in India and the UK.
He is also the co-author of a reference book on Production and Quality Management (ISBN: 978-93-5202-092-8).
Conrad has supervised postgraduate dissertations and projects in various digital marketing areas, including Programmatic Advertising, SEO, and Paid Media.
