About

Areas of focus: Internationalisation and Diversity in Leadership

What characterises Pia is that she has a wide bandwidth to engage and participate, create relationships, communicate, be solution-oriented and not least - to make things happen. It has been central to the many jobs she has had in her 33-year career at IBM. Experience as a teacher, salesman, administrative manager, HR consultant, project manager, human resources manager, communications manager, CSR manager and COO among others - both in Denmark and internationally – is most recently being used in the job where she is responsible for IBM Technology Support Services in Denmark.

IBM Technology Support Services - or colloquially called TSS - assists IBM customers with proactive and responsive IT support - both onsite and remote - on IBM and other vendors' hardware and software products. Pia’s primary tasks are to create the best framework for the team, engage in client dialogues and ensure that the collaboration across IBM is top notch, ensuring clients receive the best of service and helping them take advantage of the many new opportunities our technology enables.

Pia is passionate about sharing what IBM can and do stand for and is proud of the technology and the opportunities it offers our society - be it us as citizens, companies or the public sector. Having a focus on using the technology intelligently, ensuring that everyone can participate and that we stick to ethics.

Pia has 10 years of experience as a board member and deputy chairman of Bofællesskabet Lykke Marie in Slangerup. A self-governing institution that offers a home in a safe environment for 24 young adults with multiple disabilities. The institution is a 24-hour offering that provides educational, social and health professional support to the young people, and a workplace for approx. 50 full-time employees. Pia is one of the founders, and have been a driving force in the realisation of this organisation, where her youngest son today lives. She is also chairman of the board of the independent institution Plejehjemmet Meta Marie in Vejle, a fantastic home for 38 of our elderly citizens in need of care. The nursing home has been through some challenging years, and Pia has been asked to take over the chairmanship in order to establish a recovery plan, which is currently being worked on.
