- Antonio Schuh
Antonio is an international executive and consultant with over 30 years of strategic and operational experience. He is a senior advisor in Arthur D Little’s telecoms practice, working with global telecom players in strategic assignments. He also works as a mentor to venture capital fund NIU Ventures and supports scaleups across Spain and Latin America in fundraising and business development.
Previously, Antonio served as director of strategic alliances at the Telefónica Group, one of the biggest telecom operators worldwide. At Telefonica he helped create a global network of telecom partners that now includes 11 telecom groups present in 72 markets in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and China with a total of over 1.8 billion customers. Partner operators work together to increase their economies of scale and accelerate growth, collaborating in strategic projects such as 5G services, Cybersecurity or open networks innovations. Antonio began his career at Telefonica in strategic projects related to content, assessing opportunities for expansion and helping to launch pay TV operations in the Latin American operations. Before joining Telefonica, he worked at management consulting firms Oliver Wyman and Arthur D. Little in strategy projects for telecom, media and Internet companies.
A long-time resident of Spain and originally from Brazil, over the course of his career he has lived in six countries and led business deals in over 30 others. He is a native speaker of Portuguese and Spanish, speaks English and is conversant in French. In addition to his professional activities, Antonio lectured at the international MBA of the IE Business School in Madrid and is a regular guest lecturer at the Technical University of Madrid Master’s in innovation management. Antonio is also board member at CSISAC, a volunteer-run organization advising the OECD on digital economy policies.
