About

Dr Manjusha Hirekhan is a multidisciplinary and applied researcher with work experience at leading UK and international academic institutions. She completed her PhD from Aston Business School on Organisational Receptivity for Change: Multilevel perspective. Her PhD has developed a multilevel operational framework on organisational receptivity for change, organisational ambidexterity and offers insight into how HR as dynamic capability interacts at multiple levels to impact performance. She is highly curious in examining the role of HR in the organisational ecosystem in the emerging era of organisational change management, HRM in emerging economies, and the antecedents and micro- dynamics of organisational ambidexterity.
Manjusha has published and presented research on Organisational change, Organisational Ambidexterity and HRM in emerging economies on Peer-reviewed journals and books (Journal of International Management, Human Resource Management in the Indian subcontinent, Handbook of HRM in Middle east and HRM, Innovation and performance). She has also regularly reviewed academic articles for peer-reviewed journals, such as Human Resource Management Review, British Journal of Management, and Journal of Knowledge Management.

Research interests

Manjusha is interested in multidisciplinary and applied research in the area of HRM (global context, in emerging economies), Organisational Ambidexterity, Organisational Receptivity for Change and Organisational Behaviour.  

Teaching

Manjusha has significant teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (including online and on-campus). She has designed, developed and run number of modules covering HRM, Organisational Behaviour, Research Methodology and IT in Business.

Supervision

Dr Hirekhan has successfully supervised postgraduate students in their MBA and Masters dissertations. She is interested in supervising PhD theses on subjects related to Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, and Organisational ambidexterity.

Professional

Manjusha has regularly participated and presented her research at various policy and practitioner events. She has also organised various conferences to enhance collaboration to forge a connection between academia and practice.
