Efstathia Papathanasi has been shortlisted for the AMBA Postgraduate Leadership Award.
The former MBA student at Kent Business School now works as a Senior Brand Manager at Germanos SA, one of the largest tech companies in Greece, where she is leading the brand projects.
She was nominated for her proven leadership skills and ability as a mentor, and for being a result and detail-oriented individual.
Reflecting on the nomination, she says: ‘I am truly honoured to be nominated for the MBA Postgraduate Leadership Award 2024. At the same time, I am immensely grateful for the support I have received from Professors and staff of the University of Kent.
In the journey through the MBA programme, I have come to understand that leadership is about fostering an environment where everyone can thrive and achieve their full potential. It is all about motivating, guiding, and inspiring our peers toward collective success.
I had the privilege of learning from outstanding Professors and extremely talented classmates, who have driven me to be better, and I would like to express my gratitude to all of them for being my source of inspiration.’
Professor Thanos Papadopoulos who was Course Leader for the MBA at the time Efstathia was studying, says: ‘I am delighted that Efstathia Papathanasi has been shortlisted for the AMBA Postgraduate Leadership Award 2024.
‘An architect, who from a very young age has shown considerable talent and focus in Marketing and Sales, now a Senior Brand Manager at Germanos SA, one of the largest tech companies in Greece, where she is leading the brand projects.
‘She is a proven leader and a capable mentor, a result and detail-oriented individual. She is able to plan and execute with a proven record in meeting strategic objectives, as well as a team player working along with cross-functional teams to manage many complex marketing projects.’

The award will be presented at the AMBA & BGA Gala Dinner 2024, which will take place at the Park Plaza London Riverbank, on Friday 19 January 2024.
