As a member of our valued alumni community, we're giving you the opportunity to return to Kent Business School to reconnect and join the latest discussions around current business issues that are impacting you and your organisations. The programme (a series of 'How to ...' and 'How do ...' workshops) is designed to be flexible around your work commitments and you can join us for as many workshops as you like.
In 2025, they will be over three days, Wednesday 2, Thursday 3, and Friday 4 July, including two evening workshops. Each is designed for all alumni (undergrad, postgrad, MBA). You are welcome to join us for all workshops regardless of which course you studied.
We have also planned in some social time to reconnect with your former classmates or make new acquaintances from different cohorts or courses. There will also be quiet spaces available if you need to check emails or take calls. Round it all off by staying for networking drinks at the end of the day.
Debbie Kemp
MBA Director and Senior Lecturer in Retail and Enterprise
This series of workshops was delivered during the first week of July 2024, followed by networking drinks. Each one was truly hybrid, so attendees were able to join us from anywhere in the world. Workshops for 2025 will be published in January.
Each two-hour workshop will be hosted by a resident KBS expert, visiting academic, local business, or an alumni expert who will share their latest research and/or knowledge on a subject of interest in the current business climate. As always with Kent Business School, this should provoke a sharing of views and experiences from the audience. We have designed the workshops to give you an insight into ‘how to’ apply each subject to your business environment right now.
“It’s great to see Kent MBA leading the way on lifelong learning and development and becoming a learning organisation. I thought it was a perfect mix of theory, research, case studies, discussions, and networking opportunities from different MBA cohorts. It was a really enjoyable learning environment, whilst making new contacts and friends, and I look forward to future Kent MBA Alumni Summer Schools.”
Dr Kush Kanodia, MBA alum (2006), London
“I was fortunate to attend the MBA Summer School workshop sessions that touched upon actual and hot global topics for the society, economy, business and wellbeing of people on a global scale: health and social care, decisions under crisis, artificial intelligence, data analytics, sustainable growth, high team performance and resilience in times of organisational change. Kudos to the KBS MBA management team for this great up-skilling opportunity – looking forward to the next one.”
Stylianos Fontrier, MBA alum (1993), Greece
