About

Alexander Maxwell-Cole BSc (Hons); MSc; LLB (Hons) Law; LLM (Employment Law); MA (Human Resources Management & Employment Studies); MSc (Organisational Psychiatry & Psychology); PGCE; Chartered MCIPD; is a Lecturer in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Organisational Behaviour to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

Previously, Alexander worked as a Sessional Lecturer in Employment Relations & HRM at Birkbeck, University of London. He has also worked as a practitioner in HRM & Employment Relations dealing with strategic issues in the areas of resourcing, training & development, employee relations, employment compliance & legislation, organisational development, employee engagement and involvement, HR strategy and change. 

Research interests

Continuous Professional Development in HRM, Employment Law, Organisational Psychology & Employment Relations.

Teaching

Alexander teaches and convenes four modules at postgraduate level: 

  • The Psychology of Selection & Assessment
  • Developing Business Skills for HRM
  • Leadership and Management
  • Human Resource Management Business Report 

He is part of the teaching team for the following modules at undergraduate level:

Prior to KBS Alexander has taught in Higher Education & Universities at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as on a range of courses for the professional qualifications – Chartered Management Institute and Institute of Leadership & Management.

Professional

Alexander is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and has worked with a number of accredited centres delivering various modules on the CIPD programmes over the last 10 years.
