As Head of International Marketing and Recruitment, Sue manages all aspects of overseas recruitment for the University, working with schools and other professional service departments towards growth in our international registrations and a smooth student journey.
Sue has played a key role in overseas student recruitment to Kent from East Africa and has travelled regularly over the last 12 years to East and Southern Africa, Mauritius, and Malaysia, building up an excellent reputation for Kent, and a strong network of university, school, and representative contacts.
Sue has over 20 years of experience in higher education administration and management, with a background in modern languages and student support for language learning. Prior to her current role, Sue held the posts of International Officer and Senior International Officer at Kent, covering regions including Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Malaysia and Singapore.
Sue originally came to Kent in 2002 as Communications Officer for the UK Socrates-Erasmus Council, which was based at the University. Her role involved the promotion of the Erasmus scheme and other EU educational initiatives to the UK HE sector, and the overseeing of the funding of, and reporting on, UK Erasmus activities to the UK government and the European Commission.
