The Equality Act protects us all against discrimination on the basis of the protected characteristics we may have.
The Equality Act also makes it illegal to discriminate against those who:
- Are associated with someone who has a protected characteristic;
- Are perceived to have a protected characteristic (which they do not actually have);
- Have complained about discrimination/supported a claim.
