- Dr David Potter
Before retirement Dr David Potter taught early modern European History and specialised in researching the history of early modern France; the history and culture of Renaissance France has dominated his research and writing.
He has published studies on the military organisation of late medieval and early modern France, in particular a monograph on Picardy, on the French nobility and on the court of France. He has also written on Tudor diplomacy, one of his lasting interests.
