Addiction Support

Getting support with addiction

Addiction and substance (mis)use is a complex issue that can affect anyone.

If you feel like your use of drugs, alcohol, pornography, gambling or gaming is getting too much, there are various support services available to provide a safe and confidential space to talk about concerns.

If you're worried about a friend or housemate, you could suggest they look at the resources below to find help and support.

One-to-one support

You can access confidential counselling from Student Support and Wellbeing at any time during your studies, and speak to a Mental Health Adviser about what you need to stay on track.

Support groups

To stay informed about upcoming support groups, keep an eye on the Student Support and Wellbeing events calendar.
