Kent Final Deadline (via video submission)

Entries will be via video submission, where you will record your 3MT presentation and submit it to us by 12pm on Thursday 20th June.

UK Semi-Final

Deadline for Kent's submission. The winner of the Kent competition will be entered into the UK competition, via video recording.

The top finalists of the UK competition are announced.

If Kent's winner is selected as a finalist they will present as part of the UK Final (Online).

Why participate

The 3MT will help you develop your communication skills, give you the ability to share your research with a non-expert audience and also help you to reflect on the context and impact of your research. 

By entering the competition you will also have a chance to win 1st or 2nd prize.

1st Prize – £200
2nd Prize – £100

Information for participants

To participate you need to be an active PhD or Professional Doctorate (Research) candidate who has passed your probation review, and not had your viva by the date of your first presentation.

Participants are challenged to present your thesis in 3-minutes, using one static PowerPoint slide, no other resources or props.
