Ramzi Abou Ismail

Ramzi Abou Ismail is a doctoral researcher studying political collective violence in turbulent societies. Focusing on India and Lebanon, as multigroup societies, his aim is to identify the different types of collective violence in these societies and the psychological motives behind them.    

Ramzi is broadly interested in the political behaviour of groups in multigroup societies, specifically in developing and underdeveloped countries; where groups are divided based on their religious, ethnic, sectarian, and political identities. Before coming to Kent, Ramzi worked on developing rural communities and engaged in political campaigning in Lebanon.
