Senate is responsible for the academic governance of the University. Its non-exhaustive remit includes oversight of the strategic development and delivery of Education, Research and Innovation, Awards, Examiners, Academic Governance, Academic Partnerships and all aspects of student life.
Senate’s specific powers which have been delegated by and are subject to oversight by the Council are detailed in full in Section 6 of the University’s Ordinances.
