Opportunities for Kent students to attend the WFA in South Africa, the world’s first and only dedicated training facility for wildlife forensics
We are excited
to announce a range of opportunities for Kent students interested in this emerging field of forensics. The Wildlife Forensic Academy is the
world’s first and only dedicated training facility for wildlife
forensics – a niche forensic discipline that applies conventional forensic
techniques and technologies to preventing and investigating wildlife crime.
The Academy is based one hour north of
the internationally-renowned (and truly beautiful) city of Cape Town in South
Africa and comprises a 1,000m2 experience lab consisting of several
crime scenes (three types of wildlife, furnished house, street with vehicles,
and marine poaching scene), a laboratory, and a courtroom.
