Dr Nadia Koloteva-Levine

About

Dr. Nadia Koloteva-Levine is an accomplished molecular biologist with a distinguished academic and research background. She received her Diploma in Genetics from the State University of Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, in 1993. She then pursued her PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics of baker’s yeast at UMIST (Manchester, UK), which she completed in 1997.

Following her doctorate, Dr. Koloteva-Levine engaged in postdoctoral research across several esteemed international laboratories in Germany, Israel, and the UK. In 2019, she joined the University of Kent as a Lecturer in Molecular Biosciences at the School of Biosciences. Her research interests are diverse, encompassing gene expression, cancer biology, and neurodegenerative diseases.

Two years ago, Dr. Koloteva-Levine expanded her role at the University of Kent by joining the Apprenticeship Centre, where she currently leads the ATMP program. Her dedication to education and teaching excellence is further demonstrated by her attainment of a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) in 2012 and her recent recognition as a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA) in 2024.
