This programme is available in two options: with a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) or an MBA top-up. Choose the pathway that best suits your career goals.

Senior Leader Degree Apprenticeship (Level 7)

A Senior Leader is someone who has senior management responsibility, and this can include formal governance/director responsibilities. They are responsible for direction and vision, providing a clear sense of purpose and driving strategic intent.

The Senior Leader apprenticeship is an innovative programme that helps managers take their next step into senior leadership roles. During the apprenticeship, the learner develops knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to become transformational leaders and develop an innovative mindset.

Qualification

This apprenticeship follows the Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship Standard and offers two distinct qualification pathways:

  • Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Senior Leadership: On successful completion of the apprenticeship, learners will gain a PGDip in Senior Leadership.
  • MBA Qualification: Alongside the apprenticeship, students can also work towards gaining an MBA qualification. Students must commit to the full MBA on application and complete an additional 30 credits following the successful completion of the Senior Leader Apprenticeship to achieve the MBA.

  • Accreditation: Both options follow the Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Duration: Typically two years for the apprenticeship, with additional time required for the MBA top-up.

Fees and Funding

£14,000, covered by the Apprenticeship Levy or government co-investment. MBA top-up fee of £6,000 (for the MBA option), not covered by the levy.
