Advancing to Senior Leadership

The Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship helps managers take their next step into senior leadership roles. During the apprenticeship, learners develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to become transformational leaders with an innovative mindset.

Work-Based Learning and Projects 

Much of the programme is centred around work-based learning and projects, which means that apprentices will be adding value to the organisation while working through the degree.

Outstanding Teaching Experience 

As part of the triple-accredited Kent Business School, participants receive an outstanding teaching experience throughout the programme.

Comprehensive Support and Resources 

In addition to on-the-job and off-the-job training, learners will have access to online content and resources and be supported by a dedicated Apprenticeship Advisor.

Duration and Commitment

Programme Length

The duration of the apprenticeship is 4 years and 3 months, including the end-point assessment. Most of the programme is delivered online. 

Canterbury Campus

The programme includes weeklong summer schools at our Canterbury campus, with face-to-face teaching taking place once each year over four days. 

Study Schedule

Learners are expected to take one study day per week to complete their online learning. Additionally, meetings with a dedicated Apprenticeship Advisor are required every 8-12 weeks.

Qualification

This apprenticeship follows the Level 6 Chartered Manager Apprenticeship Standard. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, learners will gain a BSc in Management which is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). 

Fees and Funding 

£22,000 per apprentice, which can be covered by the apprenticeship levy or government co-investment if you are an SME.

Entry requirements 

  • Applicants who do not meet these entry criteria still be considered based on previous experience on a case-by-case basis. 
  • Apprentices enrolling on this programme are expected to have achieved CCC at A Level, or 34 points (16 at Higher Level) in the International Baccalaureate (or equivalent). 
  • All applicants are required to hold a GCSE in English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent qualification).

The Chartered Manager Apprenticeship is available in a face-to-face format in central London.
