José I. Silva is an Honorary Lecturer at University of Kent and a Serra Húnter Fellow at the University of Girona. He obtained his PhD in 2007 at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
José's research is mainly focused on labor macroeconomics. His publications have appeared or are forthcoming in Regional Science and Urban Economics, Health Economics, European Economic Review, Scandinavian Journal of Economics, Economic Inquiry, Journal of Population Economics, Macroeconomic Dynamics among others. He is also member of the Executive Committee of the Spanish Association of Labor Economics since 2017.
